How Virtual Reality can be used for Learning and development.
This personal project originated from the Industry Research Project within my Digital Management course at Hyper Island. The focus of the research was to explore how a specific digital technology—Virtual Reality (VR)—can be applied in the context of training and development.
The Industry Research Project (IRP) examines the use of Virtual Reality in learning and development (L&D), with a specific focus on on-the-job training. The technological scope of the project is limited to VR hardware using Head-Mounted Displays (HMDs).
The utilization of emerging technologies to support the workforce is a growing trend, particularly in the areas of training and reskilling. This research explores how digital technologies can enable flexible, scalable training solutions. The IRP investigates the characteristics and challenges of VR-based training, identifies approaches for digitalized learning, and evaluates the potential benefits and limitations of the technology.
The project is divided into two main parts. The first focuses on information gathering and clarification of VR, data, and related concepts within the field of digital management. The second part analyzes the benefits and drawbacks of applying VR in training scenarios.
The IRP concludes with findings designed to support organizations and stakeholders in assessing whether VR is a relevant solution within their current L&D scope. The project also provides recommendations and proposes a conceptual model for designing a VR-based training solution. As the research is not based on a specific organizational problem, expert interviews and surveys were used to test and validate the findings.

Bias Overview

Cognitive biases projected on the recruitment process.
I had the pleasure of collaborating with Bas van de Haterd, a recruitment expert with extensive expertise in bias, on a small side project aimed at supporting the recruitment market. Bas provided the content in a condensed format, which allowed me to translate the insights into a clean, accessible infographic.
The collaboration originated through the Recruiting Brainfood community. Throughout the project, I worked closely with HR professionals and hiring managers to better understand their recruitment challenges and support their hiring processes. It was a rewarding experience that offered valuable insights into a new and evolving domain.
